What an awesome week that was! I had the pleasure to spend almost a week at the SWPP convention in London. I had a chance to meet, talk and be trained by the best wedding photographers in the world like David Beckstead (USA), Gordon Jovic (Australia), Doug Gordon (USA) just to mention few.
The photos were taken and edited by myself at the workshop run by the famous Scottish wedding photographer Gordon McGowan. I'm inspired so much, that I cant wait to shoot a wedding!
Congratulations to Hannah & Jamie who got married in Somerset. We started the day with photographing the bridal preparations at Hannah's parents’ house in the beautiful Somerset countryside. Then we rushed to meet up with the groom at St.Peter's Church in Langford Budville. It was a beautiful ceremony with lots of tears and singing. The reception was held at Halswell House, the venue that I have photographed the most and feel most at home. As the weather wasn't on our side we photographed the group shots inside with our studio lighting, which was a lot of fun. "I didn't know that group pictures could be so much fun!" one of the guests commented. The session with Hannah & Jemmie was also inside and at Halswell House you are spoiled for choice.
What advice would you give to brides reading this who are planning their wedding?
Try to be organised and have an idea of how your day is going to pan out. Keep calm and don't stress, as your day will only happen once.
I would like to share with you my recent trip to the South East Asia. Every month I will try to show/describe you one country with only six pictures. It will be a challenge, but that's what I like. Anyway lets start with Vietnam.
Congratulations to Aneisha & Dan who got married at St.Audries Park in Somerset. An fantastic venue and a dream location for every wedding photographer. The atmosphere throughout the day was great and it was one of those weddings that you feel more like a guest then a photographer. Thank you guys. I was recommended by Anesiha's friend who was a bridesmaid at a wedding I had a pleasure to photograph last July. In September I will be photographing the groom's sister's wedding!
